Octagon ceiling, Queen Mary College, Mile EndThe Researcher Development Team is part of the Centre for Academic and Professional Development (CAPD), located in the Bancroft Building on the Mile End Site. With many years of experience from a range of Russell Group Universities and other institutions, expertise in research, research management, researcher development and training, the team is responsible for advising QMUL senior management, faculties, schools and institutes on strategic matters related to researcher development.

We are the principal contacts for the HR Excellence in Research process, which measures QMUL’s adherence to The Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers, and the EC’s European Charter for Researchers. Please go to our Concordat page for more information.

We provide support for strategic surveys including analysis and reporting for the CROS (Career Researchers Online Survey) and PIRLS (Principal Investigators Research Leaders Survey) for QMUL.

The team is committed to continually improving and supporting effective researcher development across the faculties at QMUL.
