A message from our Director

The Centre for Academic and Professional Development offers development opportunities for you… every one of you.
Professor Joy Hinson

We offer a range of activities to meet the development needs of ALL of our staff and our PhD students. Whether you are an Academic, a PhD student, a member of Professional Services or a member of QMSE, either new to QM or having served here for thirty years.

The CAPD, in partnership with your School, Institute or Department, is here to help you to be effective in your role and to develop your skills so that you thrive in the QMUL community.

We don’t just run courses (although obviously we DO run a wide range of courses). We also offer individual and group consultancy, funding opportunities, tools and resources, and we run award and recognition schemes and collaborative networks.

Whatever your development needs, we should be able to help you.
