Tell me and I’ll forget. Teach me and I’ll remember. Involve me and I’ll learn.
The Educational Development team supports all aspects of learning and teaching across QMUL. One of our biggest commitments is the ADEPT Programme (Academic Development, Education and the Promotion of Teaching), which offers training and development to all those involved in supporting student learning. We also manage a number of schemes to support, recognise and reward excellence in teaching. The Educational Development team leads and coordinates the curriculum development support offered across Professional Services, and also leads the Graduate Attributes programme, embedding these important student competencies into curricula across QMUL.
The team is also responsible for the development and management of a number of events and publications around Learning and Teaching, including the annual Teaching and Learning Conference, the Drapers’ Annual Lecture on Learning and Teaching, a series of Educational Research Seminars and codes of practice and good practice guides.
Staff in the Educational Development team can also give one to one advice and consultancy to members of staff, as well as offering support and development to Schools and Institutes.
